Stuart has spent over 30 years founding, leading and scaling data, analytics and AI startups, with multiple exits. He founded Geminos to capture the Enterprise AI opportunity.
After graduating from Nottingham University with a degree in Electronic and Computer Engineering, Stuart founded SELECT Software Tools at age 26 and led the company, as CEO, through rapid growth and expansion, including a very successful NASDAQ IPO in 1996. He then founded DATAllegro in 2003 which was acquired by Microsoft in 2008 for $275m. As part of the acquisition, Stuart joined Microsoft to lead the data warehousing group, which generated around $1bn in revenue. He left Microsoft in 2010, and started an incubator focused on creating industrial and healthcare AI startups.
Having successfully created some of the early startups in the Enterprise AI market, Stuart became frustrated with the state of the art and decided to create and lead Geminos. The initial goal was to move beyond correlation-based AI and build a platform based on the emerging field of Causal AI. This has now evolved to become a market leading combination of Causal AI, LLMs, agents, knowledge graphs and business rules – all driven by a highly customized AI coding tool. The end result is what a Gartner analyst recently called a “genius idea”.
